Summit Hosting, a provider of Sage and QuickBooks applications has acquired HarborCloud in a bid to expand their QuickBooks customer base and market share. With this acquisition, Summit Hosting seeks to extend their global reach, providing cloud-based applications to various markets.
According to Summit Hosting, customers adopting QuickBooks applications are on the rise and addressing this demand was necessary. They claim that SMBs, as well as large enterprise customers, prefer QuickBooks because of its data center prowess and fast server speed.
Summit Hosting claim that they had observed this customer affinity towards QuickBooks and decided to revive their business relationship with HarborCloud, a provider of QuickBooks as well. They say that by striking an acquisition deal with HarborCloud, SummitHosting will not only expand their customer base but also their geographic reach.

In closing, Kania said that have further acquisitions planned as part of their strategy to grow their QuickBooks market share. Neither companies have disclosed financial terms of the deal.
