This month, the Estonian Internet Foundation, the company that manages Estonia’s ccTLD .EE, reduced its Registry fee for the domain names. The change was made with effect from 1st January 2017 with multiple registration periods available from 1 to 10 years.
The annual registration fee charged to registrars will now be €6. The Estonian Internet Foundation also announced that they will no longer require street addresses and domains can now be inherited.
As part of this change, domains can now be registered without adding a name server. Name servers make domains available on the Internet and thus the company says that this is an important change for those who do not want to make their domains publicly available immediately.
Additionally, it has been announced that .EE domains can also be registered for 3, 6 or 9 months starting from 1st May 2017.
