Wix, the Israel-based DIY website company announced that it has acquired DeviantArt, an online community for artists and designers. The deal was closed for USD 36 million in cash.
Wix says that through the acquisition, it gains access to the LA-based DeviantArt’s 40 million registered members and over 325 million pieces of original art.

As per the deal, Angelo Sotira, CEO of DeviantArt, and all employees of DeviantArt will join Wix.
