U.S-based telecommunication company Sprint has partnered with cloud security solution facilitator Zscaler in a bid to provide secure access to the internet and cloud-based applications for business segments. As per the terms of the alliance, Zscaler have integrated their offerings with Sprint’s products to create ‘Sprint Secure Web’, a secure web-as-a-service cloud-enabled platform.
According to Sprint, accessing internet and enterprise application can pose a challenge for users especially if they bypass security systems in the process. They also claim that ‘Sprint Secure Web’ overcomes this barrier by providing policy-based internet access along with real-time protection from malware and advanced threats.
Speaking about the solution, Mishka Dehghan, Vice president of Product Development at Sprint, commented:
Sprint Secure Web delivers a solution that allows businesses to address real vulnerabilities and security challenges – so much of their network and operations tie directly to the Internet. This solution offers superior protection for their locations and employees with all the benefits of the cloud for speed, flexibility, and service.
Zscaler say that the security platform will also allow administrators to manage policies for many users through a single console. They also say that administrators will be alerted about risks as soon as the platform detects threats moving through the cloud.
Explaining the contribution of Zscaler to ‘Sprint Secure Web’, Al Caravelli, Vice President of Worldwide Global Alliances and Channels at Zscaler said:
Zscaler provides secure, direct internet access for today’s mobile and cloud-first world. Sprint Secure Web combines Zscaler’s industry-leading platform with Sprint’s managed network services expertise and commitment to exceptional care to offer business customers the best experience in cloud-based security.
