Voith, Kudelski Group partner to provide cybersecurity solutions

Technology firm Voith have formed a strategic alliance with Kudelski Group to provide end-to-end cybersecurity solutions to industries across the North American market. As per the terms of this partnership deal, Voith will be leveraging their IoT (Internet of Things) prowess to bring secure connectivity across business operations.

Voith claim that their experience in various industries like oil and gas, transport, mobility, etc. has given them insight into the pain points of these industries when it comes to operational technology. They say that these industries need a unique solution that integrates their daily functioning securely.

By partnering with Kudelski Group, Voith claim that the former’s security prowess will bring their vision of secured and connected industrial devices into fruition. They say that Kudelski’s expertise in hardware and software-based cybersecurity solutions will strengthen Voith’s ability to assess risks and vulnerabilities beforehand.

Michael Rhodes, Senior Vice President Sales, North America at Voith Digital Ventures, claims that the alliance with Kudelski will bring added protection to Voith’s customers. He says that with the combined expertise of IoT, business operations and cybersecurity, both firms will be able to deliver state-of-the-art automated offerings.

Speaking about the alliance, Kudelski Group say that the objective of this alliance is to develop tangible products and services so that they can support digital transformation journeys of traditional enterprises and protect them from rising cyber attacks.

Jean-Michel Puiatti, Senior Vice President of IoT security at Kudelski opines that industries worldwide seek the benefits of connecting their business operations with their enterprise’s IT infrastructure. To ensure that this arrangement is viable, he said that the alliance will support customers to achieve long-term objectives with respect to device and data protection, access management, active security and managed services.

In closing, the technology firm said that the alliance will also help them expand globally with a wide range of services. It will be interesting to see how the IoT market develops ahead, following the partnership of WebNMS with Cyient for tower related operations.
