Value added distributor

Value added distributor StarLink have entered into a strategic alliance with computing firm Napatech to boost their business in the enterprise cloud segment in the META market. As per the terms of the deal, StarLink will be adding Napatech’s computing platform into the cybersecurity portfolio to provide a wide array of solutions to cloud-native customers.

According to StarLink, Middle East, Turkey and Africa is a market that is developing a taste for cloud products and services. They say that this market has many enterprises that are deploying their workloads in the cloud to accelerate the time to reach business goals.

By partnering with Napatech, StarLink believe that they will be providing a host of products including data analytics, networking, security, machine learning and artificial intelligence to enterprises in the META market. They also claim that this alliance will help them boost their presence in a region where they haven’t had a significant presence.

StarLink added that the alliance will also allow them to cross-sell, market and distribute Napatech’s FPGA-based (Field Programmable Gate Array) SmartNIC hardware to networking and cybersecurity companies. They say that this partnership also marks a bold move by Napatech to aggressively market themselves in African as well as North American regions.

Joe Seiferth, Vice President, Worldwide Channel Sales at Napatech, commented:

An increasing number of networking and cybersecurity professionals are deploying software-based solutions to meet their performance and cost objectives, while maintaining the highest levels of agility.

The demand for these new solutions includes enterprise, government, service providers and cloud data center networks. StarLink has the reputation and relationships to bring Napatech’s solutions to their end-user customers and partners around the world.

StarLink say that this alliance was made easy since they saw synergies with Napatech in terms of vision, mission and goals for META expansion. Mahmoud Nimer, General Manager at StarLink, explained:

A wide range of cybersecurity applications are being deployed as software-only solutions on standard server platforms. We are excited to add the Napatech solutions to our security framework using their FPGA-based SmartNICs to help our customers and partners fulfil this vision.

The Middle East and North African Market is really buzzing with major alliances in the cloud industry. Recently, this market has also witnessed a partnership between Datanet and BringCom to expand services in the region.
