Tech Mahindra partners with ELTA Systems for cybersecurity framework

The alliance aims to provide cyber solutions to enterprises and government agencies in India by delivering bespoke SOC and CERT capabilities.

cybersecurity framework

IT giant Tech Mahindra have acquired IAI’s (Israel Aerospace Industries) SBU ELTA Systems to boost the cybersecurity framework of Indian enterprises and government agencies. As per the terms of the deal, ELTA systems will help Tech Mahindra deliver bespoke C-SOCs (Security Operation Centres), Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) and forensic labs by leveraging state-of-the-art automation and orchestration tools.

According to Tech Mahindra, globally, there is a shortage of cybersecurity professionals and solutions that can provide complete security to IT environments. They say that this need-gap serves as a great opportunity for organizations like Tech Mahindra to come up with a set of holistic cybersecurity services spanning response teams and protection centers.

By partnering with ELTA Systems, Tech Mahindra claim that they will be enabling enterprises to design and deliver C-SOCs (Security Operation Centres), Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) and forensic labs by making the most out of their automation and orchestration prowess. They also believe that these services will allow Tech Mahindra to provide consultation as well as managed security services.

CP Gurnani, MD & CEO at Tech Mahindra said:

We are excited to partner with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). This strategic partnership will herald a new chapter in tackling the advanced global cybersecurity threats in today’s digital age, by developing a future-ready cybersecurity framework.

Partnership with IAI will be a multiplier force for Tech Mahindra’s robust cybersecurity expertise world over.

ELTA systems claim that their cyber intelligence and defence products merged with Tech Mahindra’s IT capabilities will help the company provide services in new areas such as- cyber intelligence, protection, monitoring, identification and integrated cyber resilience.

Esti Peshin, VP and General Manager of IAI’s Cyber Division, commented:

We are confident that Mahindra’s experienced cybersecurity professionals will equip IAI with a sustainable competitive advantage, improving our ability to scale rapidly and prevent cyber-attacks with cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions.

Industry analysts believe that this alliance, as well as Tech Mahindra’s partnership with LIFARS, will consolidate their position in the global IT security market. It will be interesting to see the turn of events after this partnership.
