ServerCentral expands recovery service with ‘Recover Anywhere’

The expansion seeks to provide on-demand data recovery capabilities to customers using infrastructure or cloud platforms for their applications.

ServerCentral have expanded their data recovery services by launching Recover Anywhere, an on-demand service for enterprise-level customers. With this expansion, ServerCentral’s customers will be able to access and restore their data stored over on-premise infrastructure, private cloud, managed Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud providers, anytime anywhere.

ServerCentral say that enterprises take Recovery Time Objective (RTO) for applications rather seriously since it allows them to choose an optimal data recovery plan. They also claim that enterprises demand a solution that can fit in with all kinds of infrastructure.

With Recover Anywhere, ServerCentral claim that they will be providing customers with complete backup, retention and restoration processes that can be scheduled according to the needs of the customers. They claim that customers’ RTO will be met according to their changing needs.

Speaking about the expansion, Tom Kiblin, Vice President of Managed Services at ServerCentral, commented:

 Backing up is just one part of the equation, it doesn’t do you much good if you can’t recover. We want organizations to be as confident in the recovery as they are in their backup. RTO/RPO shouldn’t be unknowns or even variables. They should be certainties.

According to ServerCentral, Recover Anywhere has been backed by software company Veeam to meet the recovery needs of customers. They say that with this alliance, both organizations can understand different customer segments better to provide effective recovery services.

Veeam say they’re impressed with the approach taken by ServerCentral to respond to data-recovery needs for on-premise and cloud customers. Speaking about this in detail, Matt Kalmenson, Vice President of Sales and Service Provider Sales, Americas, at Veeam, commented:
