PhoenixNAP completes data center expansion in Arizona

The expansion seeks to meet the evolving demands of new businesses in the region.

Telecom giant

IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) provider PhoenixNAP have undergone data center expansion at their Arizona hub in the U.S. With this expansion, PhoenixNAP have added 15,000 sq.feet of data center assets to their Arizona facility in a bid to meet the evolving needs of businesses in the region.

According to PhoenixNAP, businesses in the U.S. have different needs when it comes to data centers ranging from dedicated, cloud, co-location and hybrid services. They say in order to stay in the race for more market share, catering to this wide range became imminent.

By undergoing a massive expansion at their flagship data center in Arizona, PhoenixNAP hope to stay abreast of the dynamic changes in the data center industry. In order to ensure this happens, PhoenixNAP say that they have also equipped this data center with state-of-the-art facilities.

As per PhoenixNAP, the data center has taken almost half a year to complete. Speaking about the expansion, Ian McClarty, President at PhoenixNAP, said:

With additional 15,000 square feet in the building, we are able to accommodate the evolving demands of our clients for additional data center space and equipment. (…) As our current tenants continue to expand their businesses, this step allows us to stay abreast of the changes.

The expansion work took six months to complete and I could not be more proud of our team for making it possible. I am looking forward to sharing this excitement with our partners and guests at the open house event.
