Tech giant Oracle have launched Oracle Soar, an automated enterprise cloud application to help organizations migrate to cloud environments. With this launch, Oracle aims to fasten time-to-value for organizations in a bid to reduce their operational costs.

Oracle say that organizations have preferences when it comes to managing their IT environments in the cloud or on-premise. They also say that most organizations have an inclination to align their business goals with their IT environments.

With Oracle Soar, the tech giant claims that they will allow enterprises to move critical workloads to the cloud without compromising on their business goals. They claim that by automating this migration process, enterprises will be able to reduce operational costs and upgrade to Oracle’s Cloud Applications in a few weeks.

Explaining the features of Oracle Soar, Oracle say that the migration application will help ensure rapid and predictable upgrades to align with modern requirements. Speaking about the need for this application, Larry Ellison, Chairman and CTO at Oracle, commented:

It’s now easier to move from Oracle E-Business Suite to Oracle Fusion ERP in the cloud, than it is to upgrade from one version of E-Business Suite to another. A lot of tedious transitions that people once did manually are now automated. If you choose Oracle Soar, it will be the last upgrade you’ll ever do.

Echoing Ellison, Beth Boettcher, Senior Vice President, North American applications consulting at Oracle, said:

We know the power of automation in solving business problems for our customers—it’s baked into all of our applications.

We’ve applied the same thinking to the cloud upgrade process to create an end-to-end solution that will enable our customers to experience a rapid, predictable, and cost-effective journey to the cloud.
