This week, Nexcess, a provider of Magento and WordPress hosting, announced that it is expanding its international hosting operations to a new data center in Sydney, Australia. The company says that the facility is located in the heart of the best-connected data hub in Australia.

Chris Wells, President and CEO of Nexcess said :

Australia and the Asia Pacific region are among the fastest growing hosting markets in the world. We’re seeing huge demand in the region for all our hosting products, particularly Magento eCommerce hosting.

By moving to a new state-of-the-art facility in Sydney, we can offer very low latency connectivity throughout the region as demand continues to grow.

Nexcess claims that its new data center will facilitate the company’s growth in Australia and the APAC region, while providing hosting clients with low latencies and constant availability.

The company added that client data will be protected by round-the-clock physical and electronic surveillance in the new data center. Access to sensitive areas is tightly controlled with multi-level authentication, including biometric authentication.
