Veritas partners with Microsoft; L8.com launches public cloud; 3essentials partners With SmarterTools

Veritas and Microsoft partner for cloud data management
The companies will jointly sell hybrid cloud storage solutions to customers

Veritas Technologies, international software company and Microsoft announced a multi-year global, strategic partnership to help organizations use Microsoft Azure to optimize for hybrid cloud environments and to host Veritas’ Enterprise Vault.cloud management and governance service on Azure.

The partnership includes collaboration to enable and jointly sell hybrid cloud storage solutions to mutual customers to provide a comprehensive, simple and cost-effective approach to managing data in the cloud.

L8.com launches public cloud in Cyprus
The new service is hosted in the company’s data center in Limassol

CloudLayer8 (CL8), the innovative service provider in Cyprus has launched a public cloud service using the OnApp cloud management platform. The company says that the new cloud offers a fully automated, self-service cloud hosting service for business customers across Cyprus, Greece and the Middle East.

CL8 says that the new offering is aimed at enterprises in banking/finance, forex, the fiduciary sector, real estate, shipping, energy and small businesses. It is hosted in the company’s independent, Tier III data center in Limassol.

3essentials partners With SmarterTools
The companies will offer 3essentials’ customers with SmarterMail, SmarterStats, SEO software, and SmarterTrack

3essentials announced that it has partnered with software developer company SmarterTools in order to lease its services like SmarterMail mail server, SmarterStats Web log analytics and SEO software, and SmarterTrack customer service software to its customers.

3essentials is a hosting, cloud and managed services provider specializing in Microsoft technologies. Through the partnership, 3essentials says that its customers can deploy SmarterMail servers easily without in-house server expertise and avail its managed service offerings.

SmarterTools claims that SmarterMail is a Microsoft Exchange alternative and is a powerful help desk application and SmarterStats allows businesses to manage website statistics and SEO efforts in a single application.
