OVH joins Red Hat certified program; AWS Direct Connect Service available in new data centers

OVH joins Red Hat certified cloud and service provider program
OVH can now use Red Hat technologies within its data centers

This week, Red Hat, the open source solutions provider announced that OVH has joined the Red Hat Certified Cloud and Service Provider (CCSP) program. Through this partnership, the companies will offer customers and independent software vendors (ISVs) greater confidence when building their IT projects using Red Hat solutions.

As a Red Hat CCSP, OVH says that it can now use Red Hat technologies within its data centers and offer its customers access to more robust, flexible and open solutions for their infrastructure projects, including hybrid and containerized architecture.

Renaud Zalmanski, Vice President, Sales, OVH said:

This agreement paves the way to the development of more offerings involving other partners in the Red Hat ecosystem.

Over time, OVH is looking to develop Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions working alongside other Red Hat certified members.

 

AWS Direct Connect Service now available in Cologix’s Montreal Data Centers
AWS customers can now access the new AWS Canada Region through this move

This week, Cologix, a network neutral interconnection and data center company, announced the availability of AWS Direct Connect Cloud Service in its Montreal data centers.

As an AWS Direct Connect Partner, Cologix says that it can now offer customers with secure and private connections to the AWS Cloud to improve performance and reduce costs. The deployment with Cologix represents one of the first AWS Direct Connect locations in Montreal and will reside at Cologix’s flagship interconnection hub data center at 1250 Rene Levesque.
