This week, ICANN, through its website announced the venue and date for GDD Industry Summit 2017 which was held in Amsterdam this year (2016).
The GDD Industry Summit 2017 will be held in May with the “Meet and Greet Welcome Reception” on Monday, 8th May and the sessions to follow from Tuesday 9th May to Thursday 11th May.
The event will be held in Madrid and the venue for the event is the NH Collection Madrid Eurobuilding in central Madrid. ICANN says that choosing Madrid as the venue for the meeting will probably suit European attendees, as it is easy to get to from most European cities.
ICANN says that the GDD Industry Summit provides contracted parties an opportunity to engage and address issues of mutual interest and importance. This forum enables direct and one-on-one interaction with members of ICANN’s GDD team. It is not a typical ICANN meeting nor is it solely intended for discussions of policy.
