IBM and Salesforce partner for AI and cloud enabled offering

The product aims to merge the intelligence behind IBM’s Cloud and Watson along with Salesforce’s Einstein and Quip to improve business customer efficiencies.

Tech giants

Tech giant IBM and CRM provider Salesforce have collaborated yet again for an AI and cloud-backed offering for their business segment customers. According to the deal, IBM will leverage the intelligence of IBM Cloud and Watson Analytics along with Salesforce’s Einstein and Quip to build ‘IBM Watson Quip live’. With this application, IBM say, business clients of both companies will be able to reduce time-to-deliver-work considerably.

According to IBM, the IBM Quip which is integrated with AI prompts will help customers accelerate the pace of work by bringing relevant content with the help of Salesforce’s Quip and crunch toggle time between windows that slow down the pace of work. They further added that their AI-base predictive analytics will prompt customers to take the right steps in cutting communication time taken to deliver work.

Explaining the advantage IBM Quips is poised to deliver, Ginni Rometty, Chairman, President and CEO of IBM, commented:

Naming IBM as a Salesforce preferred cloud services provider demonstrates the power of the IBM Cloud to help companies fundamentally change the way they do business. This expanded partnership builds on the combined power of IBM Watson and Salesforce Einstein to help enterprises make smarter business decisions.

Echoing Rometty’s thoughts, Marc Benioff, Chairman and CEO of Salesforce, said:

The success of our customers drives everything we do at Salesforce, including our strategic partnership with IBM. The combination of IBM Cloud and IBM Watson services with Salesforce Einstein and Quip will deliver even more innovation to empower companies to connect with their customers in a whole new way, leveraging the power of the cloud and AI.
