Today, Google introduced a new name for ‘Google Apps for Work’ by introducing ‘G Suite’. In their blog, Google said that G Suite is a set of intelligent apps namely Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, Hangouts, and is designed to bring people together, with real-time collaboration built in from the start.

Google announced through their blog  :

There’s a lot more on the way.

Because we believe that when organizations break down silos, connect people and empower them to work together, we get the speed, agility and impact needed to compete in today’s market.

Google mentioned that they are adding a bunch of new features to G Suite. They also said that Google Drive for Android is getting a ‘Quick Access’ section that uses machine learning to predict what file a person is going to need when he opens the app, based on the user’s previous behavior.

Google added :

The new name better reflects our mission to help people everywhere work and innovate together, so businesses can move faster and go bigger.

They also announced that Google’s cloud services will fall under a new ‘Google Cloud‘ brand, including the new G Suite, Google Cloud Platform, new machine learning tools and APIs and all of Google’s Android phones, tablets and other devices that access the cloud.
