The ePLDT (Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company) recently announced the inauguration of a disaster-proof data center in Clark, Philippines. The company says that the Vitro Clark data center is envisioned to support developing businesses in Clark and other parts of Central Luzon.
The company added that the Vitro Clark is ePLDT’s ninth data center following the recent inauguration of Vitro Davao City, and the facility can withstand any disaster. It was built with an initial funding of PHP 1.3 billion (USD 26 million) and is designed and built according to seismic zone 4 standards which enables the data center to withstand earthquakes up to magnitude 8 on the Richter scale.

The company also added that Vitro Clark complements the Vitro data center network which is present in eight other locations. Nerisse Ramos, Chief Operating Officer of ePLDT Group said that many companies in various sectors have been expanding their operations north of Manila and Vitro Clark can help them with the best support facility.
