Cloudflare joins Internet Exchanges in New York and LA

The company is joining TELEHOUSE’s Internet Exchange Points to expand their connectively across regions

TELEHOUSE, an International Internet Exchange recently announced that CloudFlare is joining both the New York (NYIIX) and Los Angeles (LAIIX) International Internet Exchanges. CloudFlare is said to protect more than 4 million websites using a global network that spans 86 cities across 45 countries.

Nitin Rao, Head of Infrastructure, CloudFlare said :

CloudFlare has a commitment to open peering and currently participates at more than 150 Internet Exchanges across the globe.

We are dedicated to improving the speed and reliability of the four million Internet applications that use our network across the United States.

Working with TELEHOUSE will enable us to expand and strengthen our global network presence.

TELEHOUSE claims that the peering traffic through NYIIX has been steadily growing at an average rate of 20 percent in comparison to 2015. With 20 years of experience in the business, NYIIX is also considered the largest peering exchange in the Northeast.
