Bitcoin this week announced that their company Bitmain Technologies will release a ‘one of a kind’ data center in Xinjiang, China.

The company said that the new data center will be one of the highest-powered data centers in the world with up to 135 MW of solar and wind power. The data center will be designed specifically for cryptocurrency applications including Bitcoin mining applications and high-performance computing.

Bitmain said that the data center will feature cooling and dust-free systems.

The company is headquartered in Beijing and has built data centers in China and other parts of the world with offices in Shenzhen, Chengdu, Qingdao, Hong Kong and Amsterdam.

Jihan Wu, Co-CEO of Bitmain said that the new data center will be more cost effective than other data centers in the industry. The company also hopes that this unique data center will set higher standards of efficiency and productivity for bitcoin mining facilities worldwide.

The completion of the data center was scheduled for the end of 2016, but the company says that weather conditions may prolong completion date.
