The recent auction held by Sedo for .AT, the country code of Austria, has been reported as the biggest auction of the year.

Sedo announced that it auctioned off more than 1,000 short .AT domain names this month, with the proceeds generating over $1 million.

The auction contained one and two character domain names and most of the domains were sold for less than $1,000. The biggest seller at the auction was C.at which was sold for €56,000 (about $60,000).

Sedo says that investors from many countries participated in the third and final auction for .AT domain names, which ended this week.
