Tech mogul Alibaba Cloud have launched the EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) Ecosystem Partner Program to boost cloud operations in the region. With this launch, Alibaba aims to focus on enabling SMBs with digital transformation in targeted verticals, supporting local talent development to understand new technologies like cloud and improve thriving marketplaces in the region.

Alibaba say that Europe has evolved as a region in terms of both business as well as cloud technology. They believe that neighbouring regions like Africa and the Middle East have also jumped on the cloud bandwagon.

According to Alibaba, small-medium as well as new businesses have been at the fore when it has come to new breakthroughs in cloud technology. They say that in order to bolster new businesses with the best-in-class distributed computing administrations, Alibaba Cloud had facilitated a progression of Create@Alibaba Cloud Start-up Challenges in EMEA a year ago.

Speaking about this launch, Yeming Wang, general administrator of Alibaba Cloud EMEA, commented:

Our goal in EMEA is to bring powerful and elastic cloud services to our customers and create a well-connected, comprehensive ecosystem with our partners to accelerate cloud technology development in the regional cloud industry

We aim to empower our customers as they undergo their own digital transformation which will greatly improve their business efficiency and ability to provide a positive experience for their customers.
